What Wattson is

Wattson is a private, non-commercial hobby project that schedules home charging of one electric car owned by its author. It is not offered to the public and has no other users.

Data from Volvo Cars

With the owner's consent through Volvo ID, Wattson reads the car's battery charge level, charge limit, charging status, charger connection, electric range and estimated charging time, and the list of cars on the account. The data is used only to decide when the car should charge at home, for example when electricity is cheap or before a planned departure.

Storage and sharing

The data is stored on the owner's own computer. Sign-in tokens are stored in a local file outside the source code. No data is sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.

Withdrawing consent

Access can be withdrawn at any time by removing Wattson's access in Volvo ID and deleting the local data folder.

Liability

Wattson is provided as is, for the author's own use, without warranty of any kind.
